Details of the new role will be announced by her new employer in due course.
Catherine Brown said, "I have hugely enjoyed working at the Bank of England. A large part of my role has been ensuring that the Prudential Regulation Authority was fully effective from the first day it began operations. That has been successfully accomplished. I am now looking forward to taking up a new role in the City later this summer."
