This CP sets out the PRA’s proposed updates to Pillar 2A methodologies and guidance. It is the first phase of a two-stage review. Pillar 2A capital requirements are set for firms to address risks not already, or not sufficiently, captured by Pillar 1.

Life insurance Stress Test 2025 (LIST 2025) – upcoming webinar

On 11 June 2025, the PRA will host a webinar on the upcoming Life Insurance Stress Test (LIST) 2025. The session will provide a comprehensive overview of the exercise, including the design, objectives, calibration and planned disclosures of LIST 2025. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session, offering an opportunity to engage directly with the PRA team. We encourage all stakeholders in the life insurance sector to attend and gain valuable insights into this important regulatory initiative. Registration is open until 9am on Monday 9 June.
Solvency II updates

The PRA has confirmed it will participate in the Association of British Insurers’ (ABI) Investment Viability Group, a multilateral engagement forum involving the ABI, His Majesty’s Treasury, representatives from the insurance industry, and the National Wealth Fund. The group is intended to focus on exploring how productive investments can be structured to meet Matching Adjustment eligibility criteria within the existing Solvency UK framework.
