The analysis deals mainly with the flow of funds between the various sectors in 1972 as a whole. The fourth quarter of 1972 is the last for which a full set of statistics is available, and comment on the first quarter of 1973 is largely confined to the banking sector, money stock, and central government financing. All quarterly information is based on seasonally adjusted figures. Unadjusted flows for the fourth quarter are given in Table J.
