As foreshadowed in the Bank's paper Monetary control-provisions, which was published in August and reproduced in September Bulletin, there are a number of statistical changes associated with the new monetary control arrangements. This note describes the main features of these changes and their implications for the statistics; it also introduces a revised presentation of the external and foreign currency counterparts to sterling M3.
