Capital issuance statistics consist of UK-based primary market issuance of bonds, commercial paper and equity, representing finance raised in the UK.

Gross issuance by UK residents was £29.8bn in December 2017, £20.3bn lower than November and £12.3bn lower than the previous six months average.
Net issuance by UK residents was -£5.6bn in December, £22.4bn lower than November and £12.9bn lower than the previous six months average.
PNFC gross bond issuance was £4.2bn in December, £6.0bn lower than in November and £1.9bn lower than the previous six months average.
