Overview

Gross issuance by UK residents was £48.0bn in March 2018, £15.3bn higher than February 2018 and £7.6bn higher than the previous six month average. Gross issuance was driven by MFIs which was £29.7bn in March.
Net issuance by UK residents was £19.9bn in March 2018, £7.9bn higher than February 2018 and £12.2bn higher than the previous six month average. Net issuance was driven by MFIs which was £16.2bn.
MFI gross bond issuance was £21.4bn in March 2018, £12.9bn higher than February 2018 and £10.1bn higher than the previous six month average.
PNFC gross bond issuance was £2.8bn in March 2018, £2.4bn higher than February 2018 but £1.7bn lower than the previous six month average.
