Capital Issuance - October 2018

Capital issuance statistics consist of UK-based primary market issuance of bonds, commercial paper and equity, representing finance raised in the UK.

Overview

Gross issuance by UK residents was £41.6bn in October, £2.0bn higher than in September, and £4.4bn higher than the previous six month average.
Bond issuance was £24.3bn in October, compared to £26.9bn in September, and was £2.6bn higher than the previous six month average.
PNFC bond issuance was £9.0bn in October, £4.1bn higher than in September, and £4.4bn higher than the previous six month average.
MFI bond issuance was £8.1bn in October, compared to £13.7bn in September, and was £2.6bn lower than the previous six month average.
Commercial paper issuance was £15.1bn in October, compared to £12.4bn in September, and was £1.1bn higher than the previous six month average.
