Key points
- UK-owned monetary financial institutions and their branches and subsidiaries worldwide reported an increase in consolidated external claims on an ultimate risk basis of $50.1 billion during 2022 Q1, to a level of $4,243.0 billion.
- By sector, the largest increase was on the other financial corporations sector, up by $55.3 billion to a level of $1,031.7 billion.
- By region, the largest increase in claims was on Developed Countries, up $46.7 billion to a level of $2,534.5 billion.
