1. Forms AD and AL rolling review (effective end- January 2019 reporting)
Following consultations with users represented on the UKF Statistics Advisory Panel, the treatment of certain instruments on Forms AD and AL have been clarified in definitions published. These are now available under “New and Upcoming” on the Data Collection page.
Below is a summary of the updates made. New forms will become effective for end-January 2019 reporting.
- Balances related to sale and repurchase agreements should be excluded from the split of sight and time deposits on Form AD and the split by original maturity on Form AL. These balances should continue to be reported in total deposits on Form AD and total loans and advances on Form AL.
- Balances related to overdrafts and credit cards should be reported within ‘up to and including 12 months maturity’ on Form AL.
