In his speech given on 27 April, Don Kohn, member of the Financial Policy Committee (FPC), discusses the implementation and effectiveness of macroprudential policy, concentrating mainly on implementation.

Drawing from his experience on the FPC, Don reflects on some aspects of implementing macroprudential policy to give a flavour of the types of issues the FPC have been dealing with and where research might have the largest payoffs in terms of effective macroprudential policy.
