Capital issuance statistics consist of UK-based primary market issuance of bonds, commercial paper and equity, representing finance raised in the UK.

Overview

Gross issuance by UK residents was £39.6bn in September, £15.1bn higher than in August and £0.8bn higher than the previous six month average.
Bonds accounted for £26.9bn of issuance in September, compared to £11.2bn in August.
MFI bond issuance was £13.7bn in September compared to £8.4bn in August and OFC bond issuance was £8.4bn compared to £2.5bn in August.
