Overview
Gross issuance of equity and debt securities by UK residents was £30.6bn in February, £4.5bn lower than in January and £4.7bn lower than the previous six month average.
Bond issuance was £12.8bn in February, £0.9bn higher than in January but £5.5bn lower than the previous six month average.
Net bond issuance was £0.8bn in February and more than accounted for by net issuance by UK MFIs of £3.3bn.
Commercial paper issuance was £16.2bn in February, £6.8bn lower than in January but £0.2bn higher than the previous six month average.
Equity issuance was £1.5bn in February, £1.4bn higher than in January and £0.6bn higher than the previous six month average.
