Overview
Gross issuance of equity and debt securities by UK residents was £35.0bn in March, £4.4bn higher than in February, but £1.4bn lower than the previous six month average.
Bond issuance was £21.2bn in March, compared to £12.8bn in February, and was £2.7bn higher than the previous six month average.
MFI bond issuance was £13.2bn in March, compared to £6.9bn in February, and was £4.4bn higher than the previous six month average.
PNFC bond issuance was £5.5bn in March, compared to £2.5bn in February, and was £2.2bn higher than the previous six month average.
Commercial paper issuance was £13.3bn in March, £2.9bn lower than in February, and was £3.4bn lower than the previous six month average.
Net Equity issuance was -£1.9bn in March, compared to £0.1bn in February, and was £1.8bn lower than the previous six month average.
