Assets in the UK totalled £4.2 billion in Q2 2021, of which Northern Ireland accounted for 47.8%, taking their assets above £2 billion for the first time.
UK total shares surpassed £3.5 billion in 2021 Q2 to £3.55 billion, an increase of 2.3% from £3.48 billion in 2020 Q1.
Total expenditure decreased in the UK by 0.2% from £42.07 million in 2020 Q1 to £41.98 million in 2021 Q2, continuing a downward trend. There was also a decrease in the total income in the UK by 1.1% which was driven by decreases in Scotland and Wales of 21.0% and 22.2% respectively.
The UK number of loans in arrears continues to fall, decreasing by 2.0% to 70,150 with the total value of arrears also decreasing by 4.3% to £109.96 million. These trends were driven by Northern Ireland where the number of loans decreased by 4.6% to 10,544, while the value of arrears fell by 5.1% to £29.79 million, taking these figures to below 11,000 and £30 million respectively for the first time since 2020 Q1.
