Effective interest rates - January 2020

This statistical release contains average interest rates across deposit or loan accounts with UK banks and building societies, calculated using data on rates and balances.

  • Effective rates on new loans to PNFC increased 14bps to 2.68%.
  • Effective rates on new unsecured other loans to individuals decreased 11bps to 7.03%.
  • Effective rates on new time deposits to individuals increased 8bps to 1.05%.
