- Adjusted for exchange rate movements, external liabilities increased by $88.7 billion during 2023 Q3. By region, the largest increase in liabilities was to Developed Countries, where the largest country increases were to the United States ($41.2 billion) and Germany ($21.5 billion).
- Adjusted for exchange rate movements, external claims increased by $112.1 billion during 2023 Q3. By region, the largest increase in claims was on again Developed Countries, where the largest country increases were on the United States ($92.2 billion) and Japan ($47.2 billion).
