Annual conferences have been organised in recent years under the aegis of the Statistics Users' Council, with the object of promoting discussion between compilers and users of official statistics. The subject of this year's conference will be financial statistics: it will be held at the Royal Society, 6 Carlton House Terrace, London SWI on Wednesday 13 November.
