This form is used to collect data on the volume of outstanding debt and new debt issued and repaid by companies each month, in both sterling and other currencies. It should be submitted via email on a monthly basis to ipaform@bankofengland.co.uk.

Form IPA is currently in the process of being migrated to XBRL, consistent with the remainder of the statistical suite of returns. Publication of Statistical taxonomy 1.3.0, as announced in Statistical Notice (as SN above), now includes Form IPA. Documentation for this release can be found on the BEEDS page and updated Form IPA definitions can be found under the ‘Form IPA’ heading on the Statistical Reporting page.
The first reporting of Form IPA under the taxonomy is due for the November 2023 reporting period in December 2023. At this time reporting of the Form IPA as published on this page will cease entirely and this page will be removed in early 2024.
