The Bank has undertaken work to determine which institutions should report for phase 3 of the buy to let data collection. See related Statistical Notice. Firms are expected to report phase 3 of the collection where the banking group carries out gross flows of new buy-to-let corporate book lending in excess of £10m and 5 loans annually. See the phase 3 definitions on the Bank's website.
In the absence of a definitive data source to measure the criteria against, the Bank is using various indicative sources and has sent out letters to some firms in the last few days asking them to report or to confirm that they are eligible.
If you believe that your corporate buy-to-let business meets this threshold and you have not received a letter please email dsd_btl_consultation@bankofengland.co.uk by 30 June.
