Rana Sajedi

Research Economist - Global Analysis Division

Biography

Rana has been working as a Research Economist in the International Directorate of the Bank of England since September 2015.  Prior to that she was completing her PhD at the European University Institute in Italy.  Rana's research interests are in both empirical and theoretical aspects of macroeconomic policy. Her PhD thesis looked at how the structural characteristics of the economy, such as the presence of tax evasion and public corruption or rigidities in product and labour markets, affect the conduct and transmission of Fiscal Policy. Rana's current focus is to extend this to explore the effect that these structural characteristics have on international linkages and spillovers.
